Merry Christmas, Welcome home Ross, Aggie bowl game, family fun...you name it, you'll see it in this post. I have the house to myself tonight but will only spend a few minutes blogging, so to make a long story short...
We packed up half the house (if you think I'm joking check out the picture below) and traveled to Sherman to welcome my brother Ross home from his mission. We were lucky enough to get him home a little bit early and in time for Christmas. The family reunion at the airport was so fun and everybody was so excited to see Ross. We've said it a million times but as a family we have been abundantly blessed by Ross's two years of service to the Lord and are so proud of him for serving an honorable mission. However, I think it goes without saying how excited we are to have him home now!
We had our annual family dinner the day after Ross came home. This year we went to Babe's, one our family favorites. We had a lot of fun and ate a lot of good food! And the babies did great too :)
This year we hosted our family Christmas Eve party at my parents' house. It's always so fun every year to have all of the Sherman family under one roof for one night. When we were little we used to have a talent show but that's fallen by the wayside as we've gotten older. Andrea still performed for us though with my mom. :)
Christmas morning came bright and early! Everybody gathered on the stairs to see what Santa had brought. We opened gifts and had breakfast before heading to church together. After church we had Christmas lunch with my mom's side of the family and Christmas dinner with my dad's side. We left the day after Christmas for College Station and a celebration with Jake's family. We had so much fun over the holidays getting to spend so much time with family and friends...and eat a million calories!!!
My parents and Ross came to town on the 30th so we could all go to the Aggie bowl game on the 31st. Sweet little Elizabeth didn't want to miss her nap time so she fell asleep in my arms amidst all the loud noise. We had a lot of fun at the game and the Aggies won the last game of their Big 12 career. Here we come SEC!!!
It was so nice to finally be home and put our house back in order before heading back to work on January 2nd. Here's to an amazing 2012! I hope it has lots of great things in store for our family...we are blessed beyond measure and I am not sure how things could get any better than they already are. Happy Holidays to you and yours...better late than never!!
