It is so hard for me to believe that Ellisyn is 1 month old today! Time sure has flown. Our sweet little girl grows and changes daily. She has gotten so big already! She is definitely bigger than her older sister was at this age. On the other hand, I feel like we've packed a lot into this short month and it makes it feel like Ellisyn has been with us for a lot longer.
One Month Stats:
So Ellie doesn't go to the doctor until 6 weeks old but here are her stats from the two doctors appointments she's had.
4 Days old:
Height: 20 inches (87th percentile)
Weight: 7 lbs (38th percentile)
Head: 34 cm (43rd percentile)
2 Weeks old:
Height: 20.5 inches (70th percentile)
Weight: 8 lbs (58th percentile)
Head: 35 cm (69 percentile)
She gained a pound in one week! Ellie is quite the little eater, that's for sure. :)
One Month Happenings:
-Has gotten so strong! She loves to hold her head up whenever she can and has pretty good control
-Loving tummy time..in small doses
-Is a nursing queen...she eats every 3-4 hours; Jake gives her bottles at midnight to help me out
-Loves to look at her sister...she's starting to focus more on objects/people that are close to her and she can recognize our voices
-Sleeps for 2-3 hours at a time
-Loves to be held, especially upright...not a huge fan of being laid down anywhere unless she's just eaten and feeling pretty happy
-Falls asleep best if she is swaddled, has her paci and is rocked, sometimes needs white noise
-Went on her first road trip to Sherman to meet my family; we had an awesome time but the drive there and back wasn't too fun!
-Loves her a good, warm bath! Not loving the sponge baths so we're glad those didn't last long
