Elizabeth is the best thing that ever happened to me and Jake. Oh my goodness. I do not even want to think about having another child right now because I am so, so, so happy with our little family of 3 and I just love Elizabeth so much! She is such the light in our house and is so precious to us. I want to spoil her and love her and focus on her for a couple of years. There are SO many things that we love about her. We love how quickly she catches on to things, how smart she is, how funny she is and how loving she is. Here she is being funny:
She just did this on her own...and we laughed and clapped for her so she does it over and over. Too funny!
Here she is being loving...she is so cuddly with us:
She loves to cuddle up on the couch and watch TV with us whenever we have it on. Here she is with daddy trying out the 3D glasses.
And back to funny...and the title of my post, purse girl. She has this thing where anything...and I mean ANYTHING...with handles on it must be carried around like a purse. It's like her innate sense of being a girl manifesting itself. Boys play guns by instinct...Lizzie carries things like purses by instinct. I'm not a huge purse person...I have my few and carry them rarely now that I have a diaper bag to lug around. So I'm not sure where she picked it up. But it cracks me up.
Example 1: The Christmas presents. I wrapped a lot of the gifts, but some are in gift bags. She's fairly certain these are under the tree for her enjoyment and must be carried around as a purse.
Example 2: My school lunch boxes. I usually carry in the diaper bag, my purse and my lunch box and put everything in the floor by the door. So she grabs the lunch box since it's the lightest and takes off! :)
Example 3: Wal Mart sacks. We have a cabinet that is FULL of sacks and it happens to be one of Lizzie's favorite places to play.
(I love how she carries it on her elbow!!)
Example 4: While I was in the hospital the mom of one of my students was my RT. She let me borrow her breathing machine for a while in case I needed it and brought it to me in this blue bag. I took the breathing machine out and put the bag in the cabinet with the wal mart sacks. Of course Elizabeth found it and it quickly became one of her favorite bags to tote around.
We love our precious girl!!
