H&J Landscaping....

My parents called us up last Saturday and asked if we could help them redo some landscaping in the backyard. Ross's graduation is next Saturday so we'll be having people over so the yard needs to look its best! But....thanks to this little mut ...

(yes, she's got a milk jug in her mouth..it's the new dog toy haven't you heard? It's her fave)...anyways thanks to Allee, some of the landscaping around the pool is well...gone. So instead of trying to start over and put dirt and flowers and greenery back in, when we know good and well she'll pull it out again, they decided to fill it in with rock. Long story short, that's what we did and had a fun time doing it. I shouldn't have titled this post H&J Landscaping though...it was more R&J&G landscaping for Ross & Jake & Gordon...Martha & Hillary didn't do a whole lot..just laid down the lining!

Before shots...our lawnmowers tore out all of the landscaping that was already there, or what was left of it at least...until it was just down to the dirt. Left the bushes of course...

Then we maneuvered Ross's truck with the rock into the backyard. Not an easy feat. Our large gate is by the driveway...and right in front of it is the basketball goal cemented into the ground. My dad had to do some fancy driving to get the truck back there but it was much easier than wheelbarrowing rock back and forth!

We did our part of course. Trying to lift our big rock that Jake and Ross and I took from the lake back into the rock. Ross could barely get it so we obviously were not successful. :)

It actually turned out looking really good considering it's just rock, but it's sparkly rock! And Allee can't tear it out! Though....she has already tried...
