We decorated the house with lots of help from Lizzie Lou. She loves to be mommy's helper. Here we are decorating the Christmas tree...
We decided to have Santa come visit our house a couple of days early. He wanted to drop off gifts for the girls before we left town. :) They were excited to put out cookies and a letter for Santa. Lizzie woke me up bright and early the next morning saying "Mommy! He came, Santa came!" It was precious and I loved that we were in our own home. We had a family breakfast and spent the rest of the day playing and getting ready for our Christmas trip.
The Tuesday before Christmas we headed to Sherman. Our family always goes out to dinner somewhere in the days leading up to Christmas. We've been to Texas de Brazil, Terrilli's, Babe's and this year we decided on Chuy's. We had a lot of fun and even the babies behaved themselves. We headed to the Frisco mall and did a little last minute shopping before heading home.
Since my parents are moving, this is the last year they'll host our annual Christmas Eve party at their house. All of the extended family in the area came over and we had a lot of fun eating yummy food and visiting. After everyone left we got the kids in their PJs, got ready for Santa, and watched a few Nativity movies before heading to bed!
The kids were up early on Christmas day and anxious to open presents. We headed downstairs for a morning full of fun! They loved opening gifts and seeing what everybody got. Christmas just seems to get more fun each year!
We gave my parents a photo book with pictures of us in our house to remember it by. Tear jerker!
We went to Mimi's house for lunch. The girls, especially Lizzie, love playing with their cousins Andrea and Alivia. And I love it because they babysit my girls and I can just relax and enjoy myself! :)
The day after Christmas, we headed to College Station. We had fun playing at Meme and Popa's house, going to the mall, and spending time with family.
It was great to get back home and stop living out of suitcases! It was quite the job, but I got everything back in order, laundry done, all the new gifts put away, and Christmas decor taken down in 2 days. Here's to an amazing 2015!
