18 Months!

I won't pretend that I don't shed tears over my baby getting older.  Sometimes when I am putting her to bed I just stand there and stare at her.  She is so precious to us and we love her so much.  I have loved every single moment of her life...even the tough ones...and I wouldn't trade my experiences with motherhood for anything.  I love watching Elizabeth learn and grow and develop and am so happy for all of her accomplishments, but man it sure is hard to know she won't be my baby forever!  Oh what am I saying, she'll always be my baby. :)

18 month stats:
Weight: 19 lbs, 7 oz (1.31 percentile!)
Height: 30.75" (24th percentile)
Head:  18" (27th percentile)

Yes, that's our tiny, tiny little girl.  She fell off her weight curve again so this time the doctor wants us to add to her diet.  We are starting Pediasure (which she loves), and a new multi vitamin to make sure she gets all her nutrients since she is so picky.  We had backed off the whole milk because dairy messes with her tummy, but are now going back full on the whole milk with a slight change of diet and some miralax if needed.  We'll get this tiny body worked out at some point! :)

Elizabeth is a talking fanatic.  Here is a list of the words she knows and uses on a regular basis...or at least as many as I can remember:  Dada/Daddy, Momma/Mommy, Gigi, Papa, Mimi (uses this for Jake's mom, her babysitter Missy, and Missy's mom!), Lizzie, Kyla (her BFF!), baby, bye/byebye, doll, dog/doggie, puppy, Allee, hey/hi/hello, whoaaaa, bow, bird, apple, tree, nana (banana), amen, cookie, eat, bubble
She actually says most of those words pretty clearly.  Allee sounds more like Aya but most of the rest we completely understand.

We've also used a lot of sign language with Lizzie, and I love that she'll use it on her own too.  She knows: please, more, thank you, eat, hungry, milk, all done, bath

Elizabeth constantly keeps us on our toes and full of laughs with things like the following:
**She loves to dance and will start grooving whenever she hears a song.  She especially loves Taylor Swift and will quiet down whenever she's on.
**Lizzie loves to sing along, especially in church.  And she is LOUD!  It cracks us up.
**She climbs on EVERYTHING.  Anything is fair game.  She's good and she's fast, so we've learned to pretty cautious with her.
**Her favorite game is probably peek a boo.  She loves to say boo when she uncovers her eyes or you uncover yours.
**Jake taught her how to smell flowers so every time she sees flowers she has to "stop and smell the roses".  She loves it and so do we.
**She knows the motions to Wheels on the Bus and If You're Happy and You Know It and just grins away as you start singing those to her.
**Such a girlie girl we've got!  Anything with handles is a purse to her and she'll tote it around like she's a high school queen bee.  She also loves to wear our shoes, especially mine, especially my heels.  The funny thing is she is REALLY good at walking in the heels!
**Elizabeth likes to bang play on the piano.  She will climb up and just play away like she's Beethoven.
**She is not a huge fan of prayers for some reason! We pray together as a family and she'll fold her arms but she hates it when close our eyes and start praying.  Haven't figured that one out yet.
**We're learning our farm animals..she can make the cow, dog and duck sounds.
**I love that she understands what we say and will follow our directions.  We ask her to bring us something or to go somewhere (like to her bedroom or to the bathtub) and she will.

Not much else has changed...she still has 6 teeth and no tears, takes 2 good naps during the day and sleeps 10-11 hours at night and is drinking from a sippy and feeding herself.

We're lucky to have such a fun loving, energetic little girl.  She runs eveywhere she goes, loves being outside and is a pro at giving hugs, kisses and laughs.  We love you so much Elizabeth and are so blessed to have you in our forever family sweet girl!

Here are a few Easter pictures and one of her silly self wearing my shoes...

We have been doing Pediasure for a few months now and it has helped, got Tate from the 1st like Lizzie up to the 7th at his 18 month appointment. HEB and Walmart both have generic brands that are $2 less per case and the same stuff...really helps cause that stuff is expensive!!

Lizzie is so cute by the way!
